Sometimes, we do not have the books that you would like in our school library or there aren't enough of a particular book to go around. Now you have another option to request books. You can still use Mrs. Morlan's shared document to request books, email or text, but now you can order the books you want quickly and efficiently from the Evergreen Indiana catalog hosted by The Poseyville Carnegie Public Library. All you need is a Library Card. (Just ask Mrs. Morlan to hook you up with a PCPL card. When you place a "hold" for a book, the order is sent through, the book is pulled and brought right to you. 1) Visit the Poseyville Public Library webpage: http://www.pcpl.lib.in.us 2) Click on the EVERGREEN link. 3) Log into your account with your library card number. (Your password is your lunch number.)
4) Use the search function to find books that you would like to borrow for your classroom. (Hint: First use the search function with Poseyville Library selected. If you do not find the book you want, then change it to "Evergreen Indiana" to search for books in over 100 libraries in Indiana.) 5) Select the "HOLD" button, enter your email or your phone number to be notified when they arrive. 6) Wait for Mrs. Morlan to deliver your books (or contact Mrs. Morlan when you get notified the books are ready for pick up and she will bring them to your classroom.) Contact Mrs. Morlan for more information or if you need help getting started! Happy Reading!

You can use the book alike tool to find similar books for your students. Ways to organize your classroom LibraryVisit this Link for more information: https://kindercraze.com/tools-to-help-you-level-your-classroom/ Scholastic Book Wizard AppLooking for a great FREE resource to help you get started organizing your classroom library? Start with the Book Wizard app from Scholastic! The app allows you to manually search (by typing the name of a tittle, author, or keyword). Most importantly, the app has a scanner that allows you to simply scan the bar code to quickly search the database for book information. I was pleased to discover that information for MANY of my classroom books was available in the app. A brief synopsis of the book is included on the “Book Info” screen as well as title, author, and book level information. The one (minor) downside was that the level information was presented in a rather tiny text. As a result, the book level didn’t jump out at me, I had to really look at the screen to see it. Bonus Feature: The Scholastic Book Wizard app also allows users to create an inventory of all titles in classroom library. You can also designate how many copies of the book you own and additional notes (such as where the book is filed in your library). I did not see any means to check books in or out. The list would mostly be a helpful tool for helping teachers quickly find a book or keep track of books they already own.
